Mr. Shufelt is a vice president with The Camden Group and an experienced healthcare business advisor in the areas of valuations, fairness opinions, bundled payments, resource prioritization, and financial planning. He has worked with a variety of healthcare organizations, from physician practices to single site community hospitals to several of the largest healthcare systems in the country. His valuation and fairness opinion engagements typically support strategic transactions involving the acquisition, expansion, or divestiture of key service lines. Mr. Shufelt also has extensive advisory and analytical experience related to physician alignment initiatives, service line development, and preparation for value-based payment models, including bundled payment and ACO programs.

Prior to joining The Camden Group, Mr. Shufelt was vice president of consulting services at Strata Decision Technology, LLC in Chicago, Illinois. While at Strata Decision Technology, Mr. Shufelt was a leader in the development of innovative planning tools and decision-making processes for senior financial and operational decision-makers in the healthcare industry.

Before joining Strata Decision Technology, Mr. Shufelt was a senior analyst at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in New York, New York, where he specialized in analyzing and structuring complex credit and derivative transactions, with a focus on customized credit facilities, performance swaps, and risk management products.
