Community Impact Analyses

The Camden Group has completed numerous Health Impact Reports related to the purchase/sale of healthcare organizations, addition/termination of specific services (e.g., Emergency Department), or closure of facilities. We are approved by the California Attorney General and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for studies of this type and completion of related financial feasibility studies. We have been retained by public task forces and commissions to evaluate community impact, and representatives of our firm have served as expert witnesses in litigation matters specific to transactions.

In numerous states across the country, we have assisted healthcare organizations to prepare and defend Certificate of Need applications related to the implementation of new and/or expansion of existing services, facility, and clinical equipment. These engagements entail documenting the need for and impact of actions of that type, and our clients rely on our multidisciplinary team to make an accurate assessment supported by detailed analyses.

The Camden Group’s Community Impact Analyses methodology has been reviewed and adopted by the management and legal counsel of members of many hospital systems and independent hospitals.
