Mr. Culberson is currently serving as interim chief executive officer at San Joaquin General Hospital, a 196-bed county-owned and operated facility in Stockton, California. He leads the management team in developing and executing the financial turnaround of this safety net hospital by focusing on restructuring surgery and emergency departments and ambulatory care clinics to increase efficiency and access.
Prior to this role, Mr. Culberson served as the interim chief executive officer at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, California, where he provided executive and operational leadership for this 222-bed county-owned hospital. Specialty programs offered at Kern Medical Center include high volume obstetrics, NICU, inpatient psychiatry, Kern County's only Level II trauma service, and a residency training program for more than 100 physicians in seven clinical specialties.
