Michael W. Miyagi


Mr. Miyagi is a vice president with The Camden Group with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, specializing in valuations and financial planning.  He is responsible for the firm’s healthcare business valuation and financial feasibility services.  His engagements are typically in support of client strategic transactions involving the development, expansion, acquisition, or divestiture of service lines, facilities, and entities.  Business valuation provider clients have ranged from solo physician practices to multi-state hospital systems.  He is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser in the American Society of Appraisers.

Prior to joining The Camden Group, he was the Vice President of Corporate Development for Premier, Inc., one of the nation’s largest group purchasing organizations, with diversified operations in clinical and operational comparative data.  His responsibilities included corporate strategic planning efforts, and the development of new service offerings, primarily in support of the group purchasing organization.  He also served in several supply chain management and group purchasing service roles with Premier, Inc. and one of its predecessor organizations, American Healthcare Systems.  Preceding his tenure at Premier, he held finance positions within the hospital acquisitions and development group at National Medical Enterprises (now part of Tenet Healthcare Corporation).

Prior to American Healthcare Systems, he served as director, finance for National Medical Enterprises' (now Tenet Healthcare Corporation) Hospital Group. There he was responsible for the financial modeling and pro forma development supporting the Hospital Group's Acquisition and Development operations.

Mr. Miyagi holds an MBA with an emphasis in management and finance from the Drucker/Ito School of Management at Claremont Graduate University, and a BA in business administration from California State University, Los Angeles.
